Dunes of maspalomas

The Maspalomas Dunes are one of the best preserved treasures of Gran Canaria. Thousands of travellers have been seduced by its eternal sunsets, where the sun slowly sets while the sinuous dunes play at changing shape. A sandy desert of more than 400 hectares located in the south of the island, which surprises the visitor with its extraordinary beauty.

Puerto Rico

Located in the southwest of Gran Canaria, Playa de Puerto Rico is a true oasis of sunshine and tranquillity that shines practically all year round. Moreover, this privileged corner of the island, famous for its exceptional climate, is considered one of the places with the best weather in the whole of Spain, enjoying mild winters, pleasant summers and clear skies in all seasons.

Tejeda

The peaks of the municipality crown the great depression of Tejeda, built inside an immense caldera flooded by a volcano. The basalt monoliths that surround the village of Tejeda in the highlands of Gran Canaria attract visitors, who cannot fail to admire one of the most beautiful villages in Spain.

Arucas

Only 12 kilometres from the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is Arucas, a charming municipality that stretches from the Atlantic coast to the green heights of the interior, reaching more than 600 metres above sea level.

On the other hand, the town centre of Arucas, declared of historical-artistic interest, is a real walk through time with its cobbled streets, welcoming squares, and an atmosphere that enamours every visitor. Here stands the imposing Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, an architectural jewel carved entirely from the iconic Arucas blue stone by talented local master stonemasons. Built in 1909, this monumental work stands out not only for its majestic stained glass windows by the renowned French designer Maumejean et Frères, but also for its impressive collection of works of art, such as paintings by the famous Canarian artist Cristóbal Hernández de Quintana and the extraordinary sculpture of the Cristo Yacente, created by local sculptor Manuel Ramos.

In short, Arucas is the perfect destination for art, culture and history lovers.
